25/02/2020|8minPauline Hanson’s “repugnant” comments on domestic violence should make her ineligible to hold a leadership position in the Family Law Court inquiry, Greens deputy Nick McKim says. The One Nation leader on Monday urged people not to “bastardise all men … because these things happen”. Senator Hanson’s position on the family law court inquiry has been contentious from the beginning, after the government established the probe in return for her party’s vote in the Senate. When asked during Senate Question Time on Monday, the government refused to answer whether Senator Hanson would be removed from the probe Senator McKim told Sky News her comments should make her “ineligible” and hoped the murder of Hannah Clarke and her three children would “reshape” the future of the inquiry. “Pauline Hanson has disqualified herself on the basis of her comments over the past couple of days,” he told Sky News. “To say these things happen is so utterly repugnant and is so far removed from community sentiment."
